Funeral services for Ronald A. Brooks 75 of Flagler Beach, a former 20 year resident of Jacksonville will be held on Monday July 27 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. Burial will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Brooks passed away on Thursday July 23, 2009 in Kindred Hospital, Green Cove Springs FL. He was born in Port Huron MI on April 18, 1934 a son of the late Alexander and Helen Fogel Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a retired assistant commissioner for the U.S. Department of Immigration.

He was a member of the Palm Coast Church, a member of the Fraternal Order of Retired Border Patrol Officers, was a former leader of the Tuesday Men’s Prayer Group for the Vineyard in Jacksonville, a former member of the Board of the Beaches Vineyard and a veteran serving in the US Army. He enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years Esther L. Brooks, three daughters, Deanna Grezech and her husband David of Flagler Beach, Bonnie Brooks of Raleigh NC, and Andra Brooks of Jacksonville, FL, a son Christopher Brooks and his wife Kathryn of Neptune Beach FL, two sisters, Marilyn Borowski of Port Huron MI and Dana Heath of Ontario Canada and a brother, Richard Brooks of Troutman NC, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
