Anita L. Brown, 86, of Palm Coast, died Monday July 4, 2011. Mrs. Brown was born April 19, 1925 in Roxboro, NC, a daughter of Henderson Sr., and Carolyn (Lea) Stanfield.

She had worked as a Telephone Operator for New York Telephone Company.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Church of Palm Coast, also known as First AME Church of Palm Coast. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Elmore Brown, a daughter, Gloria Singleton and her husband, W. Earl of Palm Coast; a son, George Bradshaw and his wife Teena of Middletown NY; a brother, Henderson Stanfield, Jr., and his wife Jean of Roxboro NC; four grandchildren, Cassandra (Tommie) Johnson; Gregory Bradshaw, Robin (Anthony) Banks and Michael Singelton; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, July 9th from 11:00 - 12:00 pm at the First AME Church of Palm Coast, 91 Old Kings Road in Palm Coast, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
