Mrs. Charlotte Brown, wife of Dale B. Brown, clerk of the Circuit Court of Flagler County, died at her home here early Monday morning following a brief illness.

Mrs. Brown had been in poor health for a number of years, but until a short time before her death, was as well as usual, she having visited at Flagler Beach during Sunday afternoon. She was fatally stricken about 7 o'clock Sunday evening and died at 4:25 Monday morning.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Buffalo, New York, but had been a resident of Flagler County since 1909 when she came here with her father, George Yonkers, who lived at St. Johns Park for many years.

Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church, of which she was a member, at 3 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon with Rev. W. K. McClure, pastor of the church officiating. Burial was made in the family plot in Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Dale. B. Brown, Sr., of Bunnell; one son, Dale B. Brown, Jr., of the U. S. Army and stationed at Camp Shelby, Miss.; and one daughter, Mrs. H. H. Pauling of Fajardo, Puerto Rico, who, because of war conditions, was unable to secure passage home to attend the funeral. Also Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Edith Jones of Brooksville and one brother, George Yonkers of Lakeland.

Pallbearers were D. D. Moody, C. O. Magee, J. F. Mercer, Dean Holland, A. M. McDaniel, and H. T. Cook.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Weatherby and McIntosh Home of Daytona Beach.
