http://mi-cache.legacy.com/legacy/images/Cobrands/News-JournalOnline/Photos/0405ELMORBROWN.eps_20130405.jpgElmore J. Brown, 91, of Palm Coast, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Mr. Brown was born on August 15, 1921 in Baltimore, MD., a son of Elmore W. and Anna P. (Blackwell) Brown.

As a young man he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Brown was a charter member of Parkview Baptist Church and an active associate member with the First Church of Palm Coast also known as the First AME Church of Palm Coast. He enjoyed traveling, and reading but most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anita L. Brown in 2011.

Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Singleton and her husband, W. Earl of Palm Coast; son, George Bradshaw and his wife Jennie of Middletown NY; a sister, Anna Virginia Stewart and her husband John Stewart of LA, CA; four grandchildren, Cassandra (Tommie) Johnson, Gregory Bradshaw, Robin (Anthony) Banks and Michael Singleton; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 7th from 4:00-7:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, Flagler Beach.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 8th 2:00PM at the First AME Church of Palm Coast, 91 Old Kings Rd in Palm Coast. Interment will follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

Services are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
