Helen Rita Brown, 84, of Palm Coast, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. Mrs. Brown was born on May 4, 1929 in New York City, a daughter of Joseph and Catherine Gavin Stolzenberger.

She had worked for many years as an administrator at Westledge Nursing Home in Peekskill, NY. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and the Palm Harbor Golf Club. Helen enjoyed golfing, knitting, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years, William A. Brown, whom she married September 22, 1949; four daughters, Dianne (Michael) Jeffries of Ridgefield, WA., Laurie (Joseph) Cuccinello of Lake Carmel, NY., Wendy (John) Megnia of Lake Ridge, VA., and Catherine Brown of Palm Coast; two sons, William (Catherine) Brown of Cortlandt Manor, NY., and Jeffrey (Bethann) Brown of Norwalk, CT; two sisters, Dorothy (Walter) Pritchet of Palm Coast, and her twin sister, Margaret Salzmann of Glendale, NY; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday. Entombment will follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
