Funeral  services  were  held  for  Ernest  Buteux  Saturday  afternoon  at  3  o'clock  from  the  Flagler  Beach  Methodist  Church.  The Rev. Reynold Hoover, pastor, officiated.  Interment followed at Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Buteux,  a  resident  of  Flagler  Beach,  passed  away  Wednesday  evening  at  a  Palatka  Hospital,  following  an  illness of  several  months.  He  was  a  native  of  Eng1and  but  had  made  his  home  in  the  United  States  since  1907.  He  had  owned,  built  and  operated  the  Hillendale  Golf  Course  in  Ithaca,  ·N. Y., from 1933 to 1945.  He was a winter visitor here in 1941 and returned in 1945 to reside permanently.  He was 79 years of age.  He  was  a  member  of  the  Palatka  Masonic  Lodge  and  the  Ormond  Beach  Elks  Club.

He had served as a member of the Town Commission in Flagler Beach.  He had also served as mayor of Interlachen.  He  was  Flagler  Beach  building  Inspector  at  the  time  of  his  death.

The  Ormond  Beach  Elks  Club  held  a  memorial  service  at  the  Craig  Chapel  on  Friday  evening.  The Bunnell Masonic Lodge conducted the graveside services.

Active  pallbearers  were  Roy  McNab,  Earl  Nickelsom,  Robert  Craig,  Edward  Webb,  Andrew  Wilder  and  Thomas  Duncan.  Honorary pallbearers were members of the Elks Club No.  2193.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs.  Margaret A.  Buteux; a son, Ernest C.  Buteux, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs.  Carrie Sparks, Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Ethel  Larkin,  London,  England;  two  brothers,  Bill  Buteux,  Flagler  Beach,  and  Elbert  Buteux,  Lon­don,  and  six  grandchildren.

Craig Funeral Home of Bun­nell was in charge of arrangements.
