Funeral Mass for Michael Edward Calandro, 19, Wayland Place, Palm Coast, Fla., who passed away Monday, April 23, 2007, at his residence, will be held today (Saturday, April 28), at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. A private family entombment will follow the Mass at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach.
Michael was born August 6, 1987, in New Haven, Conn. He and his family moved to Palm Coast in 1991, coming from Hamden, Conn. Michael owned and operated Calandro Lawn Service, and he also worked at Nature Scapes in Bunnell. Michael enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing video games, and he lived life to its fullest. He never took anything for granted, and he was fun loving, easygoing, always happy, and he had a big beautiful smile.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Ed and Wanda Calandro, Palm Coast. Additional survivors include his two sisters, Nicole Calandro and her fiancé, Anthony Renfree, Palm Coast, and Michelle Salvati, Miami; his maternal grandmother, Terry Malazzi, Woodbridge, Conn.; his paternal grandparents, Mary and Pat Calandro, Palm Coast; his aunts and uncles, Chuck and Diane Calandro, Palm Coast; Lucia and Mike Spear, Hamden, Conn., Wendy Malazzi, Springfield, Mass., Maria and Joe Testa, Leominster, Mass., and Judy Malaro, Northford, Conn.; his cousins, Lindsey, Trisha, Jason, PJ, Dawn, Kim and Holly; and his best friend and girlfriend, Aimee Tungett, Palm Coast.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Juliano Malazzi, and his uncle, Frank Malazzi.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in memory of Michael's grandfather, Jay Malazzi, 2700 Patriot Blvd., Suite 100, Glenview, IL 60026-8021.
