PALM COAST - Mary Ann Canfield, 72, of Claymont Court South, the wife of Palm Coast mayor James Canfield, died Wednesday at home. 

Mrs. Canfield, a retired billing clerk for St. Vincent Medical Center in New York, moved here in 1989 from her native Staten Island, N.Y. She was member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, First Coast Rose Society, Palm Coast Players Club, Sierra Club and Audubon Society. Mrs. Canfield also served as vice-president of Palm Coast Historical Society. 

Additional survivors include three sons, Thomas Mortimer, Staten Island, Michael Mortimer, Northport, N.Y., and Neil Mortimer, Middletown, N.J.; two daughters, Joanne O'Connor, Northport, and Ellen Mortimer, Red Bank, N.J.; two stepsons, Kevin, Northport, and James, Mountain View, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Eileen Canfield-Boldt, Townshend, Md., and Julie Canfield, Boston; two brothers, Neil Keating, Spring Lake, N.J., and Thomas Keating, Wall Township, N.J.; and 13 grandchildren.
