Anthony Joseph Capua Jr.

A funeral mass for Anthony Joseph Capua Jr. 73, of Palm Coast will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, 11:00AM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church. Friends may visit on Tuesday, July 5, from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the chapel of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South Flagler Beach. Interment will follow the mass at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Anthony passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011. He was born on January 24, 1938 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Anthony Joseph Sr. and Julia Teresa (Nargi). As a young man he served in the US Marines. Anthony retired as a firefighter after 28 years of service from the Plainfield, NJ Fire Department.

After the passing of his beloved wife Luann B. Capua on July 14, 2009 he moved to the Palm Coast are in 2010. Anthony enjoyed going to the beach and tending to his vegetable garden. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons, Anthony Joseph III and his wife Stacy of Palm Coast; Robert E. and his wife Leslie of Ormond Beach; sisters, Marie Jaeger of Palm Coast; Carmela McMullen of Palm Coast; grandsons, Anthony Joseph IIII, Vincent Gregory, Nicholas Santino, Ian Edward, Michel Anthony, Alexander Joseph, Steven Quirino.

Services are in the care and trust of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
