BUNNELL -- Malcolm R. Chesnut, of Pine Forest Circle, who retired as an Air Force captain after 22 years of service, died Friday at home.
Mr. Chesnut, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, moved to this area in 1975 from his native Morton, Miss. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell, Bunnell Lions Club and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8906. He enjoyed reading, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Ronnie Chesnut, Cross City, Fla., and John Russell, St. Augustine; four daughters, Connie Thurmond, Houston, Texas, Signa Miles, Morton, Mary Tyler, St. Augustine, and Cheryl Buck, Palm Coast; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
