Catherine E. Crawford 

Funeral Service for Catherine E. Crawford, 80, Palm Coast, who died October 24, 2007, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast, will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, with the Rev. Father Jose Kallukalam, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Craig Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach, immediately following the service. Calling hours are from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, October 28 at the church. 

Catherine was born in Lawtey, Fla., and moved to this area in 1953 from Jacksonville. She moved to Bunnell in 1953 and taught in the Flagler County School District until her retirement in 1984. She attended Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Fla., and Stanton High School, Jacksonville. She was a member of the National Education Association (N.E.A.), Flagler County Educators Association, and Phi Delta Kappa. She enjoyed arts and crafts and watching "Wheel of Fortune". 

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila F. Crawford, Palm Coast; and sister, Emma C. (Herbert) Burney, Jacksonville.

Catherine Elizabeth Crawford, 80, of Palm Coast, retired educator in the Flagler County School District, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, as Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast following a brief illness, 

She was a native of Lawtey, and was the daughter of the late Lindwood and Frances Crawford. She was a graduate of Stanton High School, Jacksonville, and earned a bacchelor’s degree in home economics at Florida A&M, Tallahassee. 

She has been a resident of Flagler County since 1953 and taught in the Flagler County School District for 31 years until she retired in 1984. She was a former member of Mt. Zion AME Church, Lawtey. 

Since moving to Palm Coast in 1986, she attended Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She was a member of the National Education Association (NEA), Flagler County Educators Association and Phi Delta Kappa. She enjoyed arts and crafts and watching “Wheel of Fortune.” 

Her parents preceded her in eternal rest. 

To cherish her memories; loving and devoted daughter, Sheila F. Crawford, Palm Coast; sister, Emma C. (Herbert) Burney, Jacksonville; and a host of relatives, former students, colleagues and friends. 

Visitation of family and friends will be Sunday, Oct. 28, from 2-4 p.m. at the church. 

Funeral Mass will be Monday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 44600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. Father Jose Kallukalam, associate pastor, officiating. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel.
