John M. Creech, former resident of Bunnell, died at his home in St. Augustine early Friday morning following a lingering illness.

Mr. Creech, a native of Hazard, Kentucky, was 73 years of age and a retired jeweler. He had resided here with his family for a number of years before going to St. Augustine about 14 years ago. He operated a jewelry and watch repair business here.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday, afternoon from the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Augustine and burial followed at Hope Cemetery here.

Mr. Creech is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dahlia Ambrose Creech; a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Osborne of St. Augustine; four sons, Cecil, James M., and Frank Creech, all of St. Augustine, and Stanley Creech who is serving with the U. S. Army at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Also surviving are one sister, two brothers and 11 grandchildren.

Garcia Funeral home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
