Mr. Cruz was born March 13, 1930 in Santurces, Puerto Rico, a son of Juan and Cruz Gomez Cruz.

He owned and operated a Dry Cleaning Company in New York.

Mr. Cruz was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Charismatic prayer group and Spanish American club. He was a sports fanatic, and was a New York Yankees fan.

Mr. Cruz is survived by his wife, the former Carmen L. Gonzalez whom he married February 28, 1994; one daughter Belinda Cruz; two sisters, Ana Becerro and Ramona Fiorentino; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Pedro Juan Cruz, Jr., and his brother, Jose Luis Bulerin.

Family and friends will be received Friday, January 11, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach, and Saturday from 9:00 am - 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Bell Terre Parkway in Palm Coast, where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
