PORT ORANGE -- John Dattoli, 65, of Brandy Hills Drive, a private detective before his retirement, died Monday at home.

Mr. Dattoli, a veteran of the Army-Air Corps during the Korean War, was born in Lexington, Mass., and came here in 1979 from Townsend, Mass. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, the Police Athletic League (PAL) and the Police Benevolent Association. 

Survivors include two sons, David T., Bunnell, and Wayne J., DeLand; a daughter, Patricia Wentworth, DeBary; a brother, Richard L., Ipswich, Mass.; a sister, Eleanor Kelly, Cambridge, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a friend, Mary Lou Peters, Port Orange, who provided for his care.

JOHN A. DATTOLI, 65, Brandy Hills Drive, Port Orange, died Monday, Nov. 24. Mr. Dattoli was a retired private detective. Born in Lexington, Mass., he moved to Central Florida in 1979. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors: sons, David T., Bunnell, Wayne J., DeLand; daughter, Patricia Wentworth, DeBary; brother, Richard L., Ipswich, Mass.; sister, Eleanor Kelly, Cambridge, Mass; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
