FLAGLER BEACH - James Lester Deen, 85, 4 Flagler Beach Trailer Park, an engineer with the Florida State Road Department be­fore his retirement, died Friday morning at home after a long illness.

Mr. Deen was born in Baxley, Ga., and was raised in Flagler County. He lived in Miami for many years and returned to Flagler County upon his retirement in 1970. He attended Central Baptist Church and was a member of the Lake City Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; three brothers, Duane and Stanley, both of Bunnell, and June, Flagler Beach; and three sisters, Thelma Walter, Orlando, Frances Wetherington, Bunnell, and Naomi Hoffman, Cape Canaveral.

Craig, Bunnell, is in charge.
