PALM COAST - Ricardo Andres Diaz, 53, of Wainwood Place, who owned Ricardo's Kitchen and Bath, died Thursday from injuries received in a automobile accident in Palm Coast.

Mr. Diaz was a native of Santiago, Chile, and came to the area in 1961 from Chile. He was a member of Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church. He was a 1971 graduate of Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, and he attended the University of Florida. Mr. Diaz was a sponsor and coach in youth sports. He enjoyed fishing, diving, skiing and boating and was an avid Florida Gator fan.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Lori; a son, Bertram, and a step-son, Frank Pelose, both of Palm Coast; two daughters, Alyssa and Valerie Diaz, and two step-daughters, Cristana and Ashley Pelose; all of Palm Coast; his mother and step-father, Lya and Sergio Weissenberger, Ormond Beach; and two brothers, Carlos Diaz, and Jaime Diaz, both of Ormond Beach.
