Evelyn DiFilippo



Evelyn Jeanie DiFilippo 78, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away on February 25, 2023 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. She was born on October 27, 1944 in Mineola, New York to the late Raymond and Mary Ebbrecht.

She earned her nursing degree and spent her entire working career as a registered nurse. She worked in several hospitals over the years in Long Island, New York and locally at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. Once she was retired Evelyn was able to enjoy crocheting, cruising, traveling especially Europe. When she was home, she and her husband were able to enjoy their boat named “Eve’s Toy”.

Her memberships included the Anchor Boat Club in Palm Coast and the Italian American Social Club. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Murdock in 2008. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Mark “Rick” DiFilippo; son, Gregory (Linda) Murdock, step-children, Kristine (Edward) Kelly, Gregory DiFilippo; 15 grandchildren and her beloved cat, “Babe”.

A visitation for Evelyn will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.

Evelyn will be laid to rest in Flagler Memorial Gardens.
