Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Edward Duarte, 74, Waterbury, Conn., who died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Waterbury Hospital, will be Saturday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast. Friends may visit Friday, March 9, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Clymer Funeral Home, Bunnell.

Mr. Duarte was born in New Bedford, Mass., and moved to Palm Coast 19 years ago, but having lived last two years in Waterbury, Conn. Ed was plant manager for American Radionics for 30 years.

He was a member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Portuguese American Club of Palm Coast, Knights of Columbus, V.F.W., Italian American Club, Elks, and past president of the Portuguese American Club, Danbury, Conn., and longtime president of the Sons of Portugal Scholarship Fund. He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Robert Merolle, Waterbury, and grandsons, Ryan and Christopher.

The family of Mr. Duarte entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations, Bunnell.
