Jorge F Duran
Jorge F. Duran 71, of Palm Coast, passed away on July 30, 2020. He was born on December 22, 1948 in San Ramon, Costa Rica to Carmen Duran.
He married the love of his life and together they had 5 children. In 1990 he and his family left their country for the United States and settled in New Jersey where his wife was called to be an Ambassador for Costa Rica in the United States. In the fall of 1998, they then moved to Orlando, Florida where he was a Master Mechanic in Heavy Machinery.
He was such a gifted mechanic that he was recruited to the Palm Coast area to work for Hampton Golf Group which managed 3 golf properties, Grand Haven, South Hampton and North Hampton. Jorge was a kind and gentle soul that everyone looked to as a father figure. The endless love that he had for his family will be forever etched in their hearts.
Jorge is preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Duran and his grandson, Nathan Duran.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Maria; children, Maikol (Maria) Duran, Girlanni Duran and her husband Alex Sanchez, Jorge (Jessica) Duran, Karol (William) Buckmaster, Wendy Duran and her husband Joseph Trinkle; grandchildren, Marissa, Joseph, Ivana, Alexa, Ethan, Kaylee, Jaden, Ariana, Sessilee, Viviana, Emric and many more loving relatives and good friends.
Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, 3:00PM at Flagler Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 1:00-3:00PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home. Per social distancing guidelines 50 people will be allowed in the funeral chapel at one time.
