Thursday, October 21, 2010Funeral services for Leonard C. Eckenrode 51 of Palm Coast will be held Monday, October 25 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. Burial will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
Mr. Eckenrode, a resident of Palm Coast since 2003 coming from Hagerstown MD, passed away on Monday October 18, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on February 16, 1959 in Olney MD a son of William Thomas Eckenrode Jr and Patricia Catherine Nutter Eckenrode who survive in Boonsboro MD.
He was a chef at Manny’s Restaurant in Bunnell and a member of Elks Lodge #2193 in Ormond Beach. He was an avid sports fan, had a passion for cooking, and loved his pets greatly.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Donna Eckenrode in 2006 and his sister Catherine Eckenrode in 2005.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are one sister, Theresa Lynn Moyer of Frederick MD, four brothers, Joseph Thomas Eckenrode and Patrick Michael Eckenrode both of Ormond Beach, William Thomas Eckenrode III of Deltona FL and Christopher Matthew Eckenrode of Clear Spring MD, eight nieces and nephews, Joseph Jr, Laurie, Mark, Tommy, Chelsea, Karen, Christopher and Hannah.
The family suggests memorial contributions to American Legion Post 120 in Holly Hill FL.
