Hilda Elaine Parks Edwards, 69, of Bunnell, passed away, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Florida Hospital - Flagler in Palm Coast. A native of Statesville, North Carolina, she resided in Bunnell since 1977 moving there from North Carolina.
Prior to living in North Carolina, she had resided in Orlando. Mrs. Edwards had worked for 23 years as a teacher's assistant at Bunnell Elementary School. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Bunnell. Mrs. Edwards was also an excellent seamstress and enjoyed the outdoors, especially going camping and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Calvin Edwards of Bunnell; two daughters, Wanda Glavin and her husband Chip of Haw Creek and Crystal Edwards of Bunnell; a son, Calvin Edwards, Jr. of Lake Butler; her grandchildren, Jason Michael Lemon and his wife, Kylie of Haw Creek, Kayla Bertolet of Jacksonville, Lydia Blocker of Bunnell and husband, Jacob Blocker of San Diego, CA, Torey Edwards of Palm Coast and Lexis Hohenstein of Bunnell; her great-grandchildren, Jason Michael Lemon, Jr. of Haw Creek and Kara Elaine Blocker of Bunnell; and several nieces and nephews in North Carolina.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Central Church of Christ in Bunnell with Bro. David Stidham officiating.
