A memorial gathering celebrating the life of Warren Melson Emerson 81, of Palm Coast will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the chapel of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S. Flagler Beach. Warren passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House after a brief illness.
He was born on October 1, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Warren and Dorothy Emerson. As a young man he served in the Navy with the “Seabees”. After serving his time in the military he attended and graduated from the University of Utah where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Warren retired from Morrison Knudsen as VP of International Hydroelectric Projects.
In 1992 he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area from Foster City, CA. He was a member of Hammock Dunes Golf Club. Warren enjoyed playing golf and photography. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lee Emerson in 2005.
Survivors include his sons, Eric D. and his wife Vera Emerson of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Scott M. Emerson of CA; sister, Dede Marilyn Emerson of Ossining, NY; grandson, Brendyn L. Emerson.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL. 32164.
Arrangements are under the trust and care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.

Warren Melson "Buzz" Emerson, 81, of Palm Coast, Fla., passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House after a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 1, 1929 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Warren and Dorothy Emerson.
