Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Hans J. Fabry, 63, Lakeshore Drive, Flagler Beach, who died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at Florida Hospital Flagler, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 4, at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach.

Hans was born in Koln-Lindenthal, Germany, to the late Johann & Katherine (Beumers) Fabry. He worked as a chef at the Koln Dom Hotel and with the Holland American Cruise Lines. Hans moved to this area in 1980 from Stamford, Conn. Once he moved here, he opened the Rheinlanders Restaurant in Flagler Beach, which he operated for 25 years until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed walking on the beach and working around his home.

Hans is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Frieda Fabry, Flagler Beach. Additional survivors include his two daughters, Luise Carroll, Pound Ridge, N.Y., and Dianna Carroll, Sacramento, Calif.; five sons, Lance Carroll, Ormond Beach, Joseph Carroll, Stamford, Conn., James Carroll, Sacramento, Calif., Carl Carroll, Stamford, and Robert Carroll, Jacksonville; brother, Alois Fabry, Germany; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made in memory of Hans to the Salvation Army, 1555 LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
