Memorial service for Emma Jean Fallon, 82, Willard Place, Palm Coast, who died Monday, January 9, 2006, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 12, at the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast.
Emma was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Manila, Philippines, to the late Walter Van Dolen and Edna (Komfort) Tiedeman. Emma obtained her bachelor's of science degree in education from Syracuse University. She worked as a special education teacher, a school nurse, and was a registered nurse at Amsterdam City Hospital. In all, she worked 34 years as an educator.
Emma moved to this area in 1990 from Warrensburg, N.Y. While in Palm Coast, she worked as a real estate agent for Forrest Real Estate in Flagler County, was a volunteer for 55 Alive, and a member of the Eastern Star and the Palm Coast United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Donald Fallon, preceded her in death in 2003.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Carole Harrington, Palm Coast; sister, Doris Johnson, Haltom City, Texas; brother, Walter Tiedeman, Evansville, Ind.; three grandchildren, Steven Harrington, Heather Stafford and Amy Harrington; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Stafford and Emma Harrington.
