Farrell, 65, of Highland Mills, New York, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at Florida Hospital Flagler. Mr. Farrell was born November 9, 1947 in Christ Church, Barbados, the son of Eric and Doris White Farrell.

He moved to the United States of America in 1959, graduating from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1965. Thereafter, in 1969, Mr. Farrell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from City College of New York, followed by a Master's Degree in Education from Hunter College in New York a year later. He subsequently received a Master's Degree in Administration from Fordham University in New York City.

A teacher/educator by profession, he taught Biology at Julia Richman/Talent Unlimited High School in New York City, where he later became an Assistant Principal. Mr. Farrell loved the school and its many students, remaining there for 34 years before retiring in 2003. Simultaneously, he taught Biology at Baruch College in New York City as an adjunct professor until 1998. In addition, Mr. Farrell, an avid and talented landscape photographer, enjoyed travel throughout Europe and to his native Barbados; but his greatest love and pleasure was the care and comfort of his family.

Besides his wife, Beverly Silvera-Farrell, whom he married November 19, 1994, he is survived by his mother Doris White Farrell of Palm Coast; two sisters, Janis Farrell of Palm Coast, and Jean Farrell of Brooklyn, New York; one brother, John Farrell of New York City; a step-daughter, Sash Silvera of New York; and two step-grandchildren, Taylor and Dylan Silvera.

Family and friends will be received Monday, June 3, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 am at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church, 101 Pine Lakes Parkway in Palm Coast, where funeral services will he held at 11:00 am with Pastor William Douthwaite III officiating. Interment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the trust and care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach.
