PALM COAST — Nilo Figueroa, 80, of Bannerwood Lane, a resident since 1990, died Thursday at Grand Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Figueroa, a plumber, was born in Vieques, Puerto Rico, and moved here from Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a founding member of First Hispanic Baptist Church of Palm Coast, where he was a deacon. He enjoyed gardening and camping.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Julia; two sons, Nilo Figueroa Jr., Virginia, and Jose Yrizzary, New York; three daughters, Carmen Figueroa and Magda Yrizzary, both of Virginia, and Laura Gonzalez, Connecticut; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
