Finck, Hanna

A funeral service for Hannele “Hanna” J. Finck 83, of Palm Coast will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, 12:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home. Friends may visit on Saturday from 11:00AM until service time. Inurnment of her cremated remains will be at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at a future date.

Hannele passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. She was born on March 26, 1932 in Suriname to the late Jacques L. and Johanna E. de Miranda (Polak). She earned her Master’s Degree in Education and dedicated her professional life to educate others.

In 1992 she and her husband moved to the Palm Coast area from Queens, NY. Hannele was a member of the Queens Baptist Church Choir and was a part of the Retired Teachers Association of Palm Coast. She will always be remembered as the family “historian” and “story teller”. Hannele enjoyed sports, anything related to Disney, crocheting, knitting and her love of music especially opera. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Hannele was preceded in death by her loving husband Hans Finck in 1999.

Survivors include her daughters, Hanna Finck of Palm Coast, Carol J. Finck of NY., Elisabeth Suzanne Finck of Long Island; siblings, Helia v.Geemen of Holland, Evelyn Ball of Holland, Jacqueline Tjong-A-Jong of Holland, Dorothea Jie-A-Soi of NY., Jacques de Miranda of Holland, Carmelita de Miranda of Palm Coast, Jenny de Miranda of Aruba, Humphrey de Miranda of Holland, Joan Jacobs of Aruba, Harold de Miranda of Aruba, Roy de Miranda of Holland; 7 grandchildren, Miranda, Hannele, Rowald, Hans, Crystiana, Derice and Yancy; 7 great-grandchildren, Deanna, Steven, Nigral, Hannele, Marcus, Miricle and Arabella
