Vincent A. Forestiere, Jr., a self-employed general contractor and lifelong resident of the area, died Wednesday April 27, 2005 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was 62. The son of Vincent A., Sr. and Doris Parliman Forestiere, he was born December 11, 1942 in Newburgh, N.Y.  

He is survived by his parents, Vincent and Doris Forestiere of Walden; three sons: Timothy and Kelly, of Plattekill, Roger and Heidi, of Plattekill, and Vincent of North Carolina; one sister, Caryl Kratochwil of Florida; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  

He was predeceased by one sister, Judy Schneider. Cremation was in Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, N.Y.  

Arrangements were made by the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc.
