A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Sybil V. Fray, 74, of Palm Coast, who passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2008, at her residence, will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast. A repast will be held also at the church with internment following at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach.

Mrs. Fray's family will receive friends Monday, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Prayer Service will be at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Alvin Robinson officiating, in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach.

She was born September 8, 1933, to the late Quintin and Iris (Bird) Meikle in Cross Keys, Jamaica, WI, and moved to Palm Coast from Uniondale, NY in 2001. Mrs. Fray was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, a former member of St. John's Episcopal in New York. She was a former chairperson of the Episcopal Church Women in New York, and was very involved in Bible Study at both churches. She enjoyed literary studies, knitting, crocheting and teaching English.

Mrs. Fray is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Hugh; three sons, Howard Condell of Hartford, CT., Vernon Fray of Palm Coast, Donovan Fray and wife, Tanya of Uniondale, NY; two sisters, Olive Douglas and husband, Carl of Yellow Springs, OH, Jacqueline Buck and husband, Sydney of Palm Coast; brother, Basil Haffenden of Derby, England; five grandchildren, Jason, Dave, Kim, Trevon Condell, all of Hartford, CT, and Darien Fray of Uniondale, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1737 North Clyde Morris Blvd., Suite 140, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
