Funeral service celebrating the life of Johanna C.A. Frederik, 86, Palm Coast, who died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Grand Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center, will be Friday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive, Palm Coast.
Mrs. Frederik was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and moved to this area 33 years ago from Wellesley, Mass. She was the co-founder of the Flagler County Humane Society and served on the Board of Directors for the Flagler County Humane Society. Johanna was also a member of the Flagler County Yacht Club. She devoted her life and passion to the welfare of all animals and the preservation of the environment. Johanna was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Willem Frederik, Hermon, Maine; daughter, Hanneke Jevons, Palm Coast; stepdaughter, Joke Frederik-Free, Roscmalen, The Netherlands; and grandchildren, Adam Frederik, Bangor, Maine, and 1st Lieutenant Joshua Frederik, Arnold A.F.B., Tennessee.
Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Frederik's name to the Flagler County Humane Society, 1 Shelter Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137.
The family of Mrs. Frederik entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
