Klara Galynkina
Graveside services for Klara Galynkina, of Palm Coast, will be held on Monday (Today), October 18 at 2:00 PM in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach. Burial will follow.
Klara Galynkina, 64, of Palm Coast, after a long and courageous battle of a brain tumor, passed away on October 16, 2010. Klara was born on October 16, 1946 in the city of Kazan, Russia to Haim and Lisa Shabashev.
After completing her high school education, she enrolled at the College of Music, majoring in music in 1967. Right after her graduation, she was offered a job and started working for Kazan's School of Music as a music teacher from 1967 to 1992. In 1993 with a hope for a "better opportunity" she and her family immigrated to the United States and lived in New York City. She took a job as a school bus driver.
In 1998, the relocated to Palm Coast where she worked as a school bus driver for Flagler County Schools until 2008. She was a very organized person and took pride in a job well done. In her leisure time she loved listening to classical music and she loved to travel.
Klara is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years Alex; her two daughters, Rina (Zoriy) Zinger of Palm Coast, and Ella (Arthur) Blumen of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Sender (Valentina) Shabashev and Arkady (Ella) Shabashev, both of New York City, NY; and four grandchildren.
She touched many lives and will be missed by her family, friends and co-workers. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
