FLAGER BEACH - Anthony J. Gentile, 90, of Palm Drive, a retired U.S Consul, died Nov. 18, 2004 at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine.

Mr. Gentile, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area in 1986 from Port Richie. He was a member of Virginia Club, American Foreign Service Retirees Assoc., and a past member of Palm Coast Lions Club. Mr. Gentile enjoyed read­ing and socializing.

Survivors include a son, Anthony Jr., Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Mary Utley, Flagler Beach; a brother, John, Cleve­land, Ohio; a sister, Theresa Oswell, Greenville, S.C.; and a grandchild.
