A funeral mass for Richard Andrew Gil 25, will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 2:00PM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach. Friends and family may gather at the church from 1:00PM until service time. Interment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
Rick passed on Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Austin, Texas after a tragic car accident. He was born on September 16, 1985 in Torrance, CA and raised in Fountain Valley, CA where he graduated high school. Rick had recently moved to Austin, TX and worked as a Loss Prevention Agent at the Intercontinental Hotel in Austin, TX. He was known for his love of playing video games, his collection of Nike shoes and being a huge Miami Dolphins and LA Lakers’ fan.
Survivors include his devastated parents Ricardo and Maggie Gil of Palm Coast; brother, Danny Gil of Palm Coast; maternal grandparents Ana and Oswaldo Herrera of Palm Coast; paternal grandparents, Fulgencio Gil and Mirtha Prieto; step-grandmother, Martha Gil; aunts, Anabelle and her husband Mike Fabian; Jamie and her husband Michael Cordova; Iris and her husband, Carlo Sciandra; uncle, Albert and his wife Liz Socorro; special friend, Cassie Smith of Austin, TX; his German Sheppard Dog, Samson and host of other relatives, friends and co-workers. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
