A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Thomas N. Giumenta, 94, of Palm Coast, will be held on Monday, June 25 at 11:00 AM in Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach. Interment with Military Honors will be held immediately following in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach.

Thomas N. Giumenta was born in Manhattan and was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII between 1943 and 1946. He studied Architecture Design and Construction at Pratt Institute and worked as an architect for City of New York for 33 years. He moved to Elmont, Long Island in 1952 to raise his family.

Tom retired and moved with his wife, Teresa, to Palm Coast in 1979. He volunteered his time with the Italian American Social Club developing the first sketches of the building and supervised the construction until the completion in 1981. He was hired by the Flagler County School Board as Clerk of the Works during the construction of Buddy Taylor Middle School. He then worked with Daytona Beach Community College at the Daytona Campus overseeing the construction of the addition to the Humanities Building, addition to the Administration Building and the new parking facility.

He is a parishioner of Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church. He oversaw the construction of the new Church and the renovation of the old church into a Community Hall. He was a member of the Men's Club and an Usher. Tom, with his wife Terry, ran the Bingo program for 16 years.

 He is survived by his three sons, Thomas Jr., a Holy Cross Brother, Ric and his wife Honora of Palm Coast, Jim and his wife Tina of Parkland, FL. Tom is also survived by his brother Anthony, his wife Rochelle, of Staten Island, and his sister Kay Fernandez, her husband Edward, of Madison, NJ. He was the proud grandfather of Nicholas, Adam, Tony, and Maria.
