Sybil Merle Gordon, 90, of Palm Coast, passed away on December 20, 2012 at Florida Hospital Altamonte Springs.

Sybil was a registered nurse at the VA Hospital in Gainesville before her retirement. Sybil was born in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Palm Coast in 1982 from Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Palm Coast, where she was also a member of the Woman's Missionary Circuit. Sybil was also a member of the Palm Coast Nurses Group and Flagler Orchid Society.

Sybil is survived by her daughter, Ruth Saddler of Apopka, FL; brother, Carlyle Atherton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Margaret Atherton of Jamaica, Babette Leslie of Apopka, FL and Gloria Mason of Brooklyn, NY; and two grandsons.

Friends may call Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 4:00-7:00PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach, FL. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013, 11:00AM, with a visitation from 10:00AM till service time at First Baptist Church of Palm Coast, 6050 Palm Coast Pkwy NW, Palm Coast, FL. Entombment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund.
