FLAGLER BEACH - Katherine Turner-McAvoy Gould; 80; of South Ocean Shore Boulevard, who retired in 1983 as a learning disability specialist in Denville, N.J., died Wednesday at Florida Hospital Flagler.
Mrs. Gould, a native of Kearny, N.J., came to this area in 1983 from Ringwood, N.J. She was a member of the Association of University Women and was alumni of the year at William Patterson' University in New Jersey. She enjoyed writing poetry, playing the piano and inventing children's games.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Tim; a son, Daniel, Palm Coast; two daughters, Maureen McAvoy, Daytona Beach Shores, and Patricia McAvoy, Flagler Beach; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
