He was born April 20, 1938 in New York, New York, a son of Mitchell and Sarah Miller Grebin.
 
At the age of 9, he and his family moved to Miami, where he graduated from Miami Senior High School. He was a graduate from the University of South Florida, and an Army  veteran. Mr. Grebin worked as a school teacher for many years in Dade County before his retirement. He was a stamp collector, writer, and loved working in Flagler County. He worked in Flagler Adult Education, tutoring students in the GED program. He was also an ESOL teacher and worked in the literacy program where he tutored students one on one. 

He was a beloved husband, father, step-father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, of 32 years the former Claire Cameron, whom he married in 1986. Three children, Lisa Tolchinsky (Fred) of Boynton Beach, Jay (Nammi) Grebin of Ft. Belvior, VA., and Bruce (Maryellen) Grebin of Phoenix, AZ. Two step-daughters, Wendy Cook of Coral Gables, and Christine (Luis) Marquis of Miami. Eight grandchildren, Caitlin Marquis, John Mitchell Grebin, Alexander Amado, Kaiulani Grebin, Alana Grebin, Marina Marquis, Kalei Grebin and George Marquis. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bryna Sony. 

A graveside service will be held June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach.
