PALM COAST - William J. Green, 67, of Westhampton Drive, who retired in 1983 as a minister in the Miami area, died Friday at home. Born Edenton, N.C., Mr. Green, a Coast Guard veteran, came here in 1979 from Boston.
He was a member of the First A.M.E. Church, where he was an associate minister, a Bible expositor and a youth counselor. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He was a graduate of Hood Memorial Theological Seminary, Salisbury, N.C. Mr. Green enjoyed cooking and computers.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Lillian; a son, William Jr., Miami; two daughters, Sherrine West, Atlanta, and Shana Green, Jacksonville; two stepdaughters, Kimberlyn and Keah Kemp, both of Miami; and seven grandchildren.
Hayes Brothers Funeral Home, Fern Park, is in charge.
