Monday, August 24, 2009Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Stefan Grybowicz, 87, of Palm Coast, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his residence, will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 10:30 am at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Memorial Room of the church. Burial will follow the Mass at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach, FL.
Stefan was born on March 25, 1922 in Pinsk, Poland. He moved to the US at the age of 25. He retired from Atlantic Machine and Tool Co. in Connecticut in 1987 and moved to Palm Coast. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and he enjoyed riding his bicycle, playing family card games, and was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.
He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Grybowicz and grandson Orlando “OJ” Santana Jr.
He leaves behind his four children, daughters Jean Bialkowicz of Palm Coast; Irene Santana and Fiancé Greg Procovic of Mays Landing, NJ; Joanne Auger and her husband Frank of Andover, CT; and son Stefan Grybowicz Jr. and his wife Christine of Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Luz, Marlena, Stephanie, Michael, Stefan III and wife Ariella, Mandi, Michele and Coree; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
