Carlo "Buster" Guidice

Description: http://mi-cache.legacy.com/legacy/images/Cobrands/News-JournalOnline/Photos/0222CARLOGUIDICE.eps_20120221.jpgCarlo "Buster" Guidice, 84, currently residing in Hazlet, NJ and of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at his son's home in Hazlet, NJ after a long battle with cancer. Born in Newark, NJ he lived in Hillside, NJ before moving to Palm Coast, FL and later to Ormond Beach, FL.

He served his country in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman General where he was the recipient of the American Theatre and Victory Medal. He was a Fire Fighter with the Hillside Fire Dept for 26 years, retiring in 1981. Buster was an original member of the Italian/American Club in Palm Coast, FL. He was also a member of the Elks and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many sporting activities, especially watching The Yankees. But most of all, Buster enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, who is his "Sweetie Pie."

Carlo is predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy V. Scott; his second wife Janet M. Guidice; his parents, Anthony and Anna Lee Guidice; and his brothers Alfred Caselli, Anthony and Thomas Guidice. He is survived by his son Anthony "Buddy" Guidice and his wife Michelle of Hazlet; one granddaughter, Michelle N. Guidice of Hazlet; a niece, Annie Guidice; and three nephews, Tony, Michael and Bobby Guidice. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Irene Caley, Ormond Beach and many other nieces and nephews.

The Guidice family would like to thank the VNA Hospice, especially their home health aide, Denise Torrisi for all she did. Family and friends will be received Friday, February 24, 2012 from 12:30 - 2:30 PM. at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Bunnell. Entombment will follow at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
