Vernon W. Haines, 65, 480 Lambert Ave. Flagler Beach, died Wednesday morning, April 14.

Mr. Haines was born in Neenah, Wisc. and moved to Flagler County 36 years ago from Gainesville. He was a retired inspector with Florida State Road Dept.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Flossie Haines; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Hawkins, Flagler Beach; Mrs. Kathryn Anderson, DeLand and Mrs. Janet Newton, Toccoa, Ga.; one son, George, Cucamonga, Calif.; one sister, one brother, and seven grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held Thursday at the Craig Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Hall, pastor of Flagler Beach First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Hope Cemetery.
