QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - Alexander D. "Doug" Hand, 86, of Quakertown, a former resident of Palm Coast, died Thursday at Phoebe Nursing Center, Richland, Pa.

Mr. Hand, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Rio Grande, N.J. He moved to Palm Coast in 1975 and in 2002 moved to Quakertown. He retired as an engineer for Philco Ford. Mr. Hand was a member of St. Mark by the Sea Lutheran Church, Palm Coast, the Lions Club and the Kentucky Colonels.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
