PALM COAST -- James Harris Jr., 53, of Langdon Drive, a retired Marine Corps gunnery sergeant, died Monday at home. 

Mr. Harris, a Vietnam War veteran, was born in Lincolnton, Ga., and came here in 2001 from Youngstown, Ohio. He was a member of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing and picture-framing. 

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Glenda; three sons, James III and Jason and Jamar Baty, all of Youngstown; six daughters, Tina Goodin, Daytona Beach, Ashley, Ronisha, Danita and Christina Harris, all of Palm Coast, and Carmelita Harris, Tallahassee; a brother, John, Augusta, Ga.; seven sisters, Shirley Lanham, Mary and Dell Harris and Louise Mathis, all of Augusta, and Fannie Livings and Renee Harris, both of Atlanta; and six grandchildren.
