Sonia S. Hart

A Funeral Service for Sonia S. Hart, 79, of Palm Coast, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, will be held at the Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. A visitation will be held before the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m..

Sonia was born on September 30, 1940 in Coama, Puerto Rico to the late Agustin Santiago and Ramona Martinez. She was raised by her stepfather, Eusebio Gonzales. She lived in Maryland before moving to Palm Coast in 2004. She owned Sonia's Tailoring Service which the Navy contracted her to do alterations for all military uniforms.  Sonia was made an Honorary Chief Petty Officer at the Naval Station in Annapolis, Maryland after 40 years of contractor service. Sonia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and loved fishing, crabbing, bingo, gambling, flea markets, knitting, crochet, and yard sales.

Sonia is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Robert P. Hart; her children, Robert Heverling of Tawney Town, MD, Robert Hart of Medina, OH, Earl Heverling of Delaware, Raymond Heverling of Myrtle Beach, SC, Charles Hart of Severn, MD, Sonia Dailey of Edgewater, FL, Rose Heverling of Palm Coast, FL, Sherry Smith of Palm Coast, FL, Paula Helmick of Glen Burnie, MD, Tammy Miller of Clarksburg, WV; grandchildren, Nelson Matos, Robert Heverling II, Ashlee Heverling, Michael Heverling, Christina Heverling, Destinee Heverling, Nicholas Heverling, Melissa Hart, Jonathan Smith, Michael Long, Alissa Miller, Makayla Dailey; great grandchildren, Avani Drummond, Samantha Hart, Preston Hart, Xavier Hart, Carly Hart; Siblings, Hilda Santiago, Luis Cruz, Santos Cruz, Hilda Cruz, Ismael Cruz, Hector Cruz, Norma Cruz, Mari Cruz; her dog, Sadie.

 She is preceded in death by her grandchild, Robert Hart III, who passed away in 2013.
