Memorial Services for Joan R. Henderson, 78, of Palm Coast, will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-Mormon, 400 N. Palmetto St., Bunnell, FL. Burial will be private in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Henderson, a resident of Palm Coast for the past 14 years, coming from Coral Springs FL, passed away Sunday October 26, 2008 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast. She was born in Ironton, OH on May 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Grace Speck Dixon.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-Mormon, Bunnell. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was a woman of strength, honor and faith. She leaves a legacy of love, family values and following the teachings of Jesus. Mrs. Henderson enjoyed working on genealogy, celebrating holidays with family baking and gardening. Preceding her in death was her husband, Wayne, in 2001.

Surviving her are three sons, Jeffrey of West Melbourne, FL, Craig of Flagler Beach, and Scott of St. Augustine, FL; a daughter, Jade Jackson of Flagler Beach; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests contributions in memory of Mrs. Henderson be made to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
