PALM COAST -- Edward Hernandez, 54, of Reynolds Place, a campus safety officer for Daytona Beach Community College, died Monday at Memorial Hospital-Ormond Beach.
Mr. Hernandez, an Army veteran of the Korean War, was born in Puerto Rico, and came here in 1988 from New York. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening and walking.
Survivors include his wife, Zulma; three sons, Felix Hernandez, Palm Coast, William Hernandez, Orlando, and Benny Roman, New York; three daughters, Charity Ripandelli, Palm Coast, Zulma Castillo, Puerto Rico, and Diane Hernandez, Daytona Beach; and nine grandchildren.
