A  funeral  service  celebrating  the  life  of  Barbara  Hicks,  69,  of  Palm  Coast,  who  passed  away  Thursday  March  27,  2008,  will  be  held  11  :OOAM,  Wednesday  at  the  First  Baptist  Church  of  Palm  Coast,  6050  Palm  Coast  Pkwy  NW,  Palm  Coast.  Friends  may  visit  Wednesday  from  10:00AM  until  service  time  at  the  church. 

Mrs.  Hicks  was  born  January  11,  1939  in  Adel,  GA  and  moved  to  Palm  Coast  in  1998  from  Manhattan  NY.  She  was  a  member  of  the  First  Baptist  Church  of  Palm  Coast,  NAACP,  Women's  Ministry,  and  the  American  Cancer  Society. 

Mrs.  Hicks  enjoyed  walking  and  reading  but  her  true  passion  was  being  a  good  wife,  mother  and  grandmother.  She  will  be  dearly  missed  by  all  who  knew  and  loved  her. 

Mrs.  Hicks  is  survived  by  her  loving  husband  of  48yrs.Elbert,  daughter;  Tracey  Hicks  of  Palm  Coast,  son  Elbert  Hicks  II  (his  wife  Ingrid)  of  Apopka  FL,  her  brother  Arthur  Johnson  (his  wife  Elizabeth)  of  Riverside  CA,  and  granddaughter  Dominic  Davis. 

Memorial  donations  in  her  memory  may  be  made  to  the  American  Cancer  Society  1620  S.  Clyde Morris Blvd.  Suite 300, Daytona Beach, FL  32119.
