Edna Mae Higgs, 84, was a resident of Palm Coast, Florida who passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016. She was born on October 9, 1931 in Philadelphia to the late Charles Joseph and Edna Cecelia Mauger (Blankenship).

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Bernard Higgs in 1992.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Diane Timberlake and son Joe Higgs, also her grandchildren, Kim Trettner, Butch VanHorn, Chris Billek, Joey Higgs and Amy Gagliano and six great-grandchildren.

Edna retired from the National Geographic Society and was an active member of the Maryland Club in Palm Coast and was deeply religious and has attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church for 25 years. She will always be remembered for her kindness and her love for life.

Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 10:00 to 12:30PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 1:00PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
