FLAGLER BEACH -- Anna Hoppe, 86, who worked in sales for Alexandra Department Store retiring after 25 years, died Monday at home. Mrs. Hoppe was born in New York City and moved here in 1989 from Little Ferry, N.J. She was a member of Sokol Hall, Little Ferry.
Survivors include a son, Robert, Little Ferry; a daughter, Barbara Hoppe, Flagler Beach; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Flagler Humane Society, 1 Shelter Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137.
Craig-Flagler Palms is in charge.
Funeral service for Anna F. Hoppe, 86, Flagler Beach, who passed away Monday, August 6, 2007, at her residence, will be held Thursday, August 9, at 2 p.m. at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach, with the Rev. Lynnette Barnes officiating. Her family will receive friends Thursday, August 9, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time.
Anna was born June 8, 1921, in New York City, N.Y., to the late Steve and Anna (Hodul) Obeda. She worked in sales for Alexanders Department Store, retiring in 1985 after 25 years of service. Anna was a former member of the Sokohall of Little Ferry, N.J., and she moved to Flagler Beach in 1989, coming from Little Ferry.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hoppe, Flagler Beach; son, Robert L. Hoppe Jr., Little Ferry; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hoppe Sr., and her longtime companion, Fred Kaufmann.
Donations may be made in memory of Anna to the Flagler Humane Society, 1 Shelter Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137.
