A funeral mass celebrating the life of Herbert “Chip” Hornberger 62, of Palm Coast will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 1:00PM at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Korona. Interment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
“Chip” passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at his home. He was born on August 18, 1947 in Washington D.C. to the late Herbert and Angeline Hornberger (Cole). After retiring in 2004 as an elevator mechanic and inspector with the Justice Department for 25 years, he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast, Florida in 2005 from Woodbridge, VA.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Darlene; daughter, Laurie Hornberger of Fredericksburg, VA; brother, Richard Hornberger of Palm Coast and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
